Robert Trump, Younger Brother to President Donald Trump, Dead at 72

Robert Trump, President Donald Trump's younger brother, has died in New York City, according to a statement from the White House. Robert Trump was 72.

“It is with a heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother Robert, peacefully passed away tonight. He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again," the president wrote in a statement released by the White House.

Trump recently visited his brother over the weekend before his passing. There was no cause of death announced, however, Robert had been ill over the last few months. He had been hospitalized in June for an unknown condition.

The 72-year-old Trump formerly served as an executive vice president of the Trump Organization and helped to manage the casinos in Atlantic City.
