McDonald's To Require All Customers Wear Masks Starting August 1

Next time you have a hankering for a Big Mac and McNuggets, make sure you bring your face mask along with your wallet.

McDonald's just announced that starting on August 1st, all customers entering the fast-food restaurant will be required to wear a facial covering.

But, you won't be able to stay inside for long, as the inside dining area will only be open for placing and picking up orders...

“In those situations where a customer declines to wear a face covering, we’ll put in place additional procedures to take care of them in a friendly, expedited way,” the company said.

Multiple large companies across the United States are also implementing these new rules. In fact, Chipotle's new face mask requirement just went into effect on Friday. Starbucks, Walmart, Kroger and other major retailers are also following similar policies.

"For 65 years, protecting the safety and comfort of employees and customers has been core to who we are," McDonald's added. "The moment we’re in today provides another opportunity to set the standard and lead."
