Average L.A. County Gas Price Rises To Highest Amount Since March 28

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose eight-tenths of a cent today to $3.143, its highest amount since March 28, one day after increasing six-tenths of a cent.

The average price is 1.2 cents more than a week ago and 8 cents higher than one month ago but 57.7 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 47.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose 1.3 cents to $3.13, its highest amount since March 27, one day increasing three-tenths of a cent. It is 1.8 cents more than one week ago and 8.5 cents higher than one month ago but 55.4 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 41.5 cents since the start of the year.
