Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt Tests Positive For COVID-19

President Trump Holds Roundtable With Governors On Reopening Small Businesses

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt announced Wednesday that he has tested positive for the coronavirus, the Tulsa World reported.

"I got tested yesterday for COVID-19 and the results came back positive.” Stitt said. “I feel fine; I felt a little bit achy yesterday."

The news comes amid a recent spike in coronavirus infections in the state as restrictions imposed during the earlier phase of the pandemic are being eased and businesses allowed to reopen. The Republican governor said he is working from home in self-isolation away from his family. He also encouraged anyone with symptoms to get tested.

"I was pretty shocked that I was the first governor to get it," he said.
