OC Animal Care Launches Pop-Up Pantry for Pets

Pop-up pantries have popped up all over SoCal to provide groceries during the coronavirus pandemic.

OC Animal Care has decided to jump in and with the support of the County Board of Supervisors, launch its own food giveaway.

This Saturday morning, June 13, the shelter will debut its “Family Fur-st Food Pantry,” which will then take place the second Saturday of every month.

There, pet owners can pick up a bag of free food for their dogs, cats and rabbits from 8 to 10 a.m., while supplies last.

To meet current social distancing recommendations, the food will be distributed in a drive-thru and people are asked to leave their animals home to keep everything calm and efficient.

The OC Animal Care facility is located at 1630 Victory Road in Tustin.
