Minneapolis Mayor Gets Booed Out Of Protest

Protesters in Minneapolis weren't interested in having the city's mayor join their cause.

On Saturday, Mayor Jacob Frey was asked by protesters if he would commit to defunding the city's police force.

After telling the crowd he did not support "the full abolition of the police", Frey was booed and left the crowd as they chanted "Shame", "Go home, Jacob, go home" and other gestures.

This comes as some members of the Minneapolis City Council have promised to "dismantle" the police department and "dramatically rethink how we approach public safety and emergency response."
