An unsigned note discovered at the memorial site for Ahamud Arbery is now being submitted as a new piece of evidence.
The card was discovered by a local reporter and written in it is an apology for not “stopping” the men that killed Arbery while he was jogging through his neighborhood.
The card read:
“Ahmaud-
I am sorry.
I should have stopped them
I am so sorry”
Many are left to wonder if this indicates that there was another witness to the fatal shooting.
Lee Merritt, the attorney for the Arbery family says a picture of the card has been handed over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and District Attorney Joyette Holmes as “critical evidence.”
