ABC Legal Analyst Royal Oaks on DOJ's Dropped Case Against Michael Flynn

The Justice Department has announced it will drop its case against former White House national security advisor Michael Flynn, despite Flynn having entered a guilty plea.

Flynn was charged with lying to FBI investigators about his contact with Russia and other foreign governments and was subsequently fired from the White House after only a few weeks on the job.

He also later served as a witness in the Mueller investigation and it seems that throughout it all, President Trump stood in his corner defending him.

Many assumed a presidential pardon would be a strong possibility before the DOJ dropped the case.
