Grand Park 4th of July Celebration Will Be Online This Year

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The Music Center's Grand Park 4th of July Block Party will be moved entirely online this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was announced today.

The Independence Day celebration will be a “multi-dimensional online experience” and will feature new content for digital enjoyment, including cooking demonstrations, comedy ensembles and music performances, as well as online workshops and more, according to a Music Center statement.

The event is being billed as “family-friendly” and will feature local artists and community partners. Whether a fireworks display will be part of the celebration has yet to be determined.

The event is expected to last three hours and will be broadcast live on Grand Park's digital streaming platforms on the Fourth of July and at grandparkla.org.

Grand Park will be closed to public gatherings and picnics on July 4.
