West Covina Police Raid Breaks Up Alleged Gambling, Drug Operation

WEST COVINA (CNS) - Police and investigators from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office raided a suspected gambling location in West Covina and arrested 11 people on a variety of charges that included suspicion of illegal gambling, narcotics and weapons violations, officials said today.

The raid took place about 7:45 p.m. Friday at the Colony Apartments located at 301 S. Glendora Ave., West Covina police said.

Investigators and detectives allegedly found several illegal gambling machines at the location, a large amount of money, a supply of methamphetamine and four firearms.

The names of those arrested were not immediately available.
