After the momentous loss of NBA superstar Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and their friends from a tragic helicopter crash in Calabasas, California this past Sunday, fans from all over are not only sending their condolences, but also ensuring that Bryant’s legacy lives on.
While some wear their #8 and #24 jerseys, Immigrant Son Caffé, located in Ventura, is customizing every cup of coffee with a unique image of the late legend; some even feature his fallen daughter, Gianna.
Co-owner Alessandro Tromba told FOX 11 that by using a special machine he calls “The Ripple Maker”, the shop is able to print virtually any image onto a customers’ coffee order. First, they just have to submit the image through an app, which connects to the contraption. Since the accident, Tromba also said that customers have sent the shop’s machine thousands of images of Kobe Bryant.
Although this is just one example of the countless tributes that have taken place the past few days, it goes without saying that each one speaks volumes about the impact Bryant had on Los Angeles, as well as athletes and basketball fans everywhere.
