A Very Sick, Good Boy Becomes Honorary Police K-9

According to ABC 7, in Pasco, Washington, the police department swore in a terminally ill dog named Eddie as an honorary police K-9.

With only months to live, Eddie's support system at Mikey's Chance Canine Rescue established a bucket list for the pup, which includes becoming an officer.

After receiving his honorary title, the sweet boy got to go "on duty" with fellow officers in his very own police jacket, visited local businesses, met new friends, oversaw the collection of donations for his rescue center, got an exclusive interview with a local station, and even had the chance to play with some toys along the way.

Thanks to Mikey's Chance Canine Rescue, Eddie has been matched with a foster family to ease his suffering during hospice care, while also getting the opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dreams.
