`Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' Continues to Rule Theaters

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - ``Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker'' continued its grip on the top spot at North American theaters over the weekend as it collected another $34.5 million, according to final figures released today.

The latest entry in the ``Star Wars'' epic has earned nearly $451.6 million in North America alone during its three weeks of release, according to box office tracker Comscore.

The comedy ``Jumanji: The Next Level'' also continued to put up strong numbers, earning $26.2 million between Friday and Sunday to take second place and push its four-week total to $235.9 million.

Awards-season hopeful ``Little Women'' took third place with $13.6 million. Disney's juggernaut ``Frozen 2'' took in $11.8 million, pushing its seven-week total to $450.4 million, while newcomer ``The Grudge'' opened in fifth palce with $11.4 million.

Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were ``Spies in Disguise'' ($10.4 million); ``Knives Out'' ($8.9 million); ``Uncut Gems'' ($7.6 million); ``Bombshell'' ($4.1 million); and ``Cats'' ($2.6 million).
