Flight From San Diego Makes Emergency Landing After Engine Shoots Flames

Passengers aboard a flight to Chicago on Monday got quite a scare after one of the plane's engines caught fire...

United Airlines Flight 366, which had departed from San Diego, was forced to make an emergency landing in Albuquerque after panicked passengers noticed sparks and flames shooting out of the engine.

Thomas Chorny was on the plane and shot this video from his seat:

The flight's 152 passengers, who arrived at Albuquerque International Airport at about 1:30 a.m., were placed on other flights headed for Chicago.

Although United officials say the fiery engine was the result of "mechanical failure," apparently that explanation isn't good enough for the Federal Aviation Administration... As Rep. Lynn Lunsford has already announced an investigation is underway.

According to officials, no one was hurt. Check out the full story on ABC News.
