`Frozen 2' Won't Let Go of Top Spot at Box Office

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - ``Frozen 2'' maintained its hold on the top spot at North American theaters thanks to a $35.2 million weekend, according to final figures released today.

The box office smash has now earned $338.1 million in its three weeks of release, according to Comscore.

The comic murder-mystery ``Knives Out'' finished a distant second over the weekend by earning $14.2 million, while the high-octane drama ``Ford v Ferrari'' took third with $6.7 million.

``Queen & Slim'' collected $6.6 million between Friday and Sunday, followed by the Mister Rogers drama ``A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood,'' which earned $5.2 million.

Rounding out the 10 top-grossing films of the weekend were ``Dark Waters'' ($4 million); ``21 Bridges'' ($2.9 million); ``Playing With Fire'' ($2 million); ``Midway'' ($1.9 million); and ``Last Christmas'' ($1 million).
