Netflix, HBO and Other Streaming Giants are Coming for Password Sharers

The era of scamming Netflix off your family/friend/coworker/exes may be over!

HBO and other cable networks are joining Netflix in the fight over people who password share as the industry is currently losing $6.6 billion a year over the seemingly harmless practice.

Executives are mulling over ideas like requiring frequent password changes, text codes to be entered in order to continue watching or even go as far as using your thumbprint to access their platform.

The media giants are aware this could cause subscribers who may not want to go through the hassle of the password protection, to leave the platform...but considering the billions they are already losing they may not even care.
