SANTA MONICA (CNS) - A burglary suspect was shot and wounded by police tonight in Santa Monica, authorities said.
The shooting occurred in the area of the 1100 Block of Pine Street, according the Santa Monica Police Department, which reported that the suspect was in custody.
According to KCAL9, the suspect was armed with a gun and broke into a home. A resident inside reportedly called police.
The suspect exited and was struck by gunfire, according to the station, but there was no word on his condition.
