How to Get a Check or Credit Monitoring from the Yahoo Breach Settlement

Yahoo has agreed to a $117.5 million settlement over the breach that exposed billions of users personal information over a three year period.

Under the terms, Yahoo will establish a fund that will offer those impacted either a cut of the settlement or some free credit monitoring.

Anyone who received a notice about the data breaches or had an active Yahoo account between January 1, 2012 to December 21, 2016 and are a US or Israeli resident, is entitled to receive benefits.
