Deputy Who Lied About Lancaster Shooting Had Been Dishonest Before

Interesting how things have turned out.

According to the Los Angeles Times, law enforcement sources have said that the sheriff's deputy who allegedly faked being shot by a sniper had been previously investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for being dishonest.

So, what they're telling us is.... this guy allegedly has a pattern of lying.

Deputy Angel Reinosa is currently undergoing a criminal investigation after he said he was shot by a sniper outside the sheriff's Lancaster station. Officials later came forward and admitted that he was untrue. His lie sparked a massive law enforcement response and days of searching for a gunman.

The sources that came forward and said that Reinosa had been investigated in the past did not provide specific details about the incident. They just confirmed that the investigation led to discipline but had no recommendation that he should be fired.

A representative could not be reached for comment.
