INDUSTRY (CNS) - Four men were arrested today in Rowland Heights and Industry in connection with a Beverly Hills crime and a rush-hour pursuit.

Beverly Hills police contacted the sheriff's Walnut Station after tracking the suspects to the Rowland Heights area, sheriff's Sgt. Richard Canfield said.

Deputies were preparing to conduct a traffic stop on the red Hyundai Accent near Colima Road and Fairway Drive when two men jumped out and the car took off, Canfield said. The two men were taken into custody.

The car continued eastbound on the Pomona (60) Freeway for one exit then led deputies on surface streets including Brea Canyon Road, Valley Boulevard and Grand Avenue until the car's left front tire became flat and the car stopped on Garcia Lane, Canfield said. The driver and a passenger were taken into custody.

The suspects were wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Beverly Hills, Canfield said.

Beverly Hills Police Department Lt. Robert Maycott would only say they were suspects in a crime that was under investigation.
