German Theme Park Closes Ride That Some Say Looks Like Flying Swastikas

A German theme park has closed a ride that many say looked like flying swastikas.

The “Eagle Fly” ride opened in July and features one long arm with two spinning carriages at each end.

Unfortunately, the four seats at the end of the spinning carriages look a little too much like swastikas.

Owner of the park, Rüdiger Braun, issued an apology to those who were offended by the ride:

"I'd like to stress how sorry we are to anyone who has felt at all insulted by this design.”

Video of the ride was circulated in a Reddit thread and many of the users were stunned by what they saw.

Nazi symbols and propaganda is outlawed in Germany and is punishable with up to three years in jail.
