WalletHub Gives Annual Rankings of Best Cities for Families

WalletHub's annual ranking of "best cities for families" and two California cities land on both ends of the spectrum.

Irvine scored as third best and San Bernardino was listed as seventh worst.

The list looks at various factors like fun, health and safety, education and child care, affordability and socio-economics.

According to the OC Register:

Irvine earned its No. 3 ranking by getting No. 22 out of the 182 cities ranked for fun; No. 2 for health/safety; No. 4 for education/child care; No. 44 for affordability; and No. 4 for socio-economics.
San Bernardino ended up at No. 176 by scoring No. 26 for fun; seventh-worst for health/safety; 18th worst for education/child care; fifth-lowest for affordability; and No. 154 for socio-economics.
