Average L.A. County Gas Price Drops For 10th Time in 11 Days

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 10th time in 11 days, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.771.

The average price has dropped 3.8 cents over the past 11 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped for seven consecutive days, rose two- tenths of a cent on Friday, then resumed decreasing on Saturday.

The average price is 2.5 cents less than one week ago and 3.1 cents lower than one month ago, but 10.6 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent Monday to $3.727 after decreasing 10 of the past 11 days. The average price dropped 3.3 cents over the previous 11 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Sunday.

The Orange County average price is 1.7 cents less than one week ago and 2.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 12.1 cents more than one year ago.
