SANDAG, San Diego County's regional transportation planning agency, has a new plan!

This plan is to take the money that was meant for 14 highway and freeway improvements, and move it to help fund bicycle lanes and "transit" for the downtown area of San Diego.

On top of this, SANDAG also wants to tax people who want to use roads. That tax money wouldn't go to fixing these roads. Instead, it would go to fund the "transit" system.

KUSI reports that people who live in the area are firmly against these new proposals and a new poll shows that the opposition margin is 2-1.

Carl DeMaio has been fighting back against these politicians.
