Average L.A. County Gas Price Drops for 30th Straight Day

Holiday Travelers Benefit As Gas Prices Continue To Fall

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped for the 30th consecutive day today, decreasing 1.1 cents to $3.896, its lowest amount since April 8.

The average price has decreased 22.4 cents over the past 30 days, including 1 cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 6.9 cents less than one week ago and 22.4 cents lower than one month ago, but 14.1 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 29th time in the past 30 days, decreasing 1.4 cents to $3.863, its lowest amount since April 8. It has decreased 23.3 cents over the past 30 days, including 1.2 cents on Wednesday.

The Orange County average price is 6.9 cents less than one week ago and 23.2 cents lower than one month ago, but 15 cents higher than one year ago.
