L.A. County Gas Prices Drop for 23rd Straight Day

ExxonMobile Posts Record Breaking Quarterly Profit

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped for the 23rd consecutive day today, falling six-tenths of a cent to $3.965 -- its lowest amount since April 10.

The average price has decreased 15.5 cents over the past 23 days, including three-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 4.5 cents less than one week ago and 16 cents lower than one month ago, but 20.2 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped one cent today to $3.932, also its lowest amount since April 10.

The Orange County average price is 4.8 cents less than one week ago and 17 cents lower than one month ago, but 20.4 cents higher than one year ago.
