Man Stabbed on Metro Expo Line, Police Search for Suspect

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police continued their search today for the man who stabbed another man at the Jefferson/USC Metro Expo Line station

The victim went into surgery for the wounds he suffered, police said. No further information was provided on his condition.

Police responded to the station located near the intersection of Flower Street and Jefferson Boulevard about 9 p.m. Friday and located the victim, who had stumbled onto a train after the attack, according to Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The train did not leave the station and the victim was taken to a hospital and directly into surgery, Madison said.

The suspect was described as a black man, 25 to 30 years old, 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-7 inches tall, 190 to 200 pounds, with dreadlocks, wearing all- black clothing and carrying a backpack, Madison said.

A weapon was not recovered. A motive for the stabbing was not disclosed.
