On Tuesday, Bernie Sanders officially announced his plans for a second campaign for president, despite losing the Democratic nomination in 2016 to Hillary Clinton.
According to POLITICO, the Sanders team has been hinting at a run as they conducted interviews for top staff positions last week. Tim Tagaris and Robin Curran, who both worked on Sanders' fundraising campaign in 2016, have also said they will join in on his second run.
“We’re organizing every day so that if and when Bernie announces, our members and our groups can hit the ground running,” Our Revolution political director David Duhalde said.
