The USPS Honors Military Dogs with a Stamp Collection

The US Postal Service has announced they will honor a furry member of the military this year with their new forever stamp collection.

Each of the four stamps will feature an illustration of the commonly used breeds in the armed forces, the German shepherd, Labrador retriever, Belgian Malinois and Dutch shepherd.

The dogs will be featured on stamps with either a red or blue background with a white star.

Dogs have been used in the US military since World War I, with 2,300 currently serving at bases worldwide.

The collection will come in a booklet of 20 and will be officially unveiled soon.
