Look in there! It's a shirt, it's a coat... it's Closet Man!

It really pains me to expose his true identity, but Closet Man is known to his mother and father as Andrew Swofford, and he got himself into a bit of legal trouble over the weekend when Maddie, a University of North Carolina at Greensboro student, found him in her closet.

Luckily, Swofford wasn't hostile or violent towards Maddie.

“I just hear rattling in my closet. It sounded like a raccoon in my closet. I’m like who’s there? And somebody answers me. He’s like ‘oh my name is Drew.’ I open the door and he’s in there, wearing all of my clothes. My socks. My shoes. And he has a book bag full of my clothes.”
“He tries on my hat. He goes in the bathroom and looks in the mirror and then is like ‘you’re really pretty, can I give you a hug?’ But he never touched me.”

Unluckily, he was a real human man and not the ghost that she thought was tormenting her.

To make it even worse, this was the second time that strangers have made their way into Maddie's apartment, and nobody knows how it is happening. The property management company says they are looking into the incident.

Swofford was jailed in Guilford County on 14 felony charges including larceny and identity theft.
