ALISO VIEJO (CNS) - A 51-year-old bicyclist was struck and killed today in a hit-and-run collision in Aliso Viejo, and a suspect was quickly taken into custody. Michael David Tomlinson of Aliso Viejo was riding on Westridge Drive, crossing Woods Canyon Drive, when he was struck by a Volvo about 6:40 a.m., according to Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Rogelio Martinez Cuin, 38, of Lake Forest, who was behind the wheel of the Volvo, kept going, but witnesses gave deputies a vehicle description, Braun said.
The vehicle was found about a mile away, and deputies arrested Cuin a short distance from the Volvo, Braun said. Cuin was booked on suspicion of felony hit and run and vehicular manslaughter, Braun said.
