Chargers End Season With Loss to New England 41-28

The Los Angeles Chargers ended their season at Gillette Stadium on Sunday with a disappointing 41-28 loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC divisional round of the playoffs. With the win, the Patriots advance to their eighth straight trip to the AFC Championship, scheduled for next Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. 

Quarterback Phillip Rivers was good for 25 of 51 for 331 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. This game marks his fifth straight loss in New England, with three of those losses coming in the post-season. 

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was good for 34 of 44 giving him 343 yards and a touchdown. The Patriots put the pressure on the Chargers early in the game, scoring on three straight drives, eventually building a 35-7 lead by halftime.
