Southland Gas Prices Drop To Lowest Amount Since Last January

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since Jan. 24, falling nine-tenths of a cent to $3.319, the 15th consecutive decrease.

The average price has dropped 10.9 cents over the past 15 days, including 1.1 cents on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 5.6 cents less than one week ago and 15.4 cents lower than one month ago but 7.1 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price also dropped to its lowest amount since Jan. 24, falling seven-tenths of a cent to $3.28, the 21st consecutive decrease.

The Orange County average price has dropped 13.6 cents over the past 21 days, including 1 cent on both Tuesday and Wednesday. It had risen five times in the six days immediately before the streak of decreases, increasing 4.7 cents.

The Orange County average price is 5.3 cents less than one week ago and 13.4 cents lower than one month ago but 6.7 cents higher than one year ago.
