LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since Jan. 25, falling 1.1 cents to $3.328, the 14th consecutive decrease.
The average price has dropped 10 cents over the past 14 days, including nine-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 5.1 cents less than one week ago and 14.9 cents lower than one month ago but 8.1 cents higher than one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped to its lowest amount since Jan. 24, falling 1 cent to $3.287, the 20th consecutive decrease.
The Orange County average price has dropped 12.9 cents over the past 20 days, including 1 cent on Tuesday. It had risen five times in the six days immediately before the streak of decreases, increasing 4.7 cents.
The Orange County average price is 5.3 cents less than one week ago and 13.3 cents lower than one month ago but 7.5 cents higher than one year ago.
