Elizabeth Warren Says She Will Donate Her Shutdown Salary

You can add Elizabeth Warren to the list of Congress members who will donate their income earned while the government is shut down.

The Massachusetts Senator and potential presidential candidate said in a tweet on Tuesday that she will give her check to HIASrefugees.

The charity is "a nonprofit that helps refugees and makes our country stronger in the process."

The partial government shutdown has entered its second week, which, according to CNN, has put 380,000 federal employees on furlough, with another 420,000 working without pay.

Senators Catherine Cortez of Nevada and Mazie Hirono of Hawaii have previously announced their salary donations to charity.
