Deer Poacher Forced To Watch Bambi In Sentencing

Sometimes the only way to teach someone a lesson is to have them experience heartache.

Well a Missouri judge was not having it with, David Berry Jr.

The 29 year old man was caught in his part in the illegal killing of over a 100 deer.

He was among a group that included his brothers and father.

The court called this one of the biggest poaching cases in Missouri history.

"This was not hunting, this was poaching," Missouri Department of Conservation Protection Division Chief Randy Doman has said. "We're talking in the hundreds of illegally killed deer over at least three years."

So in order to sentence him properly, the judge sentenced David to one year in jail and as a part of his sentence, is required to watch the classic Disney movie "Bambi" once  a month.

Wait what?

He has to watch a Disney movie. How is that a punishment?

Well, "Bambi" has one of the saddest scenes in movie history with the killing of Bambi's mother.

Who doesn't cry during that part?

"At least one time per month, that Defendant is to view the Walt Disney movie Bambi, with the first viewing being on or before December 23, 2018, and at least such viewing each month thereafter during the Defendants incarceration in the Lawrence County Jail," Greene ordered.

Honestly, this is one of the most unusual but greatest sentencing in a long time.

So hopefully after a year of being forced to watch "Bambi", hopefully he'll learn his lesson.
