#TastyTuesday: Here Comes The Disgusting Food Museum!

@ForkReporter will eat just about anything, but there may be some stuff at the Disgusting Food Museum that even he won't touch.

The Fork Reporter had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Samuel West, the Curator & Chief Disgustologist of the new Disgusting Food Museum coming to Los Angeles December 9! Dr. West spoke about why he decided to curate this project, and what you'll likely see if you visit the museum in Los Angeles.

Their website describes the approach to the disgusting museum:

"The evolutionary function of disgust is to help us avoid disease and unsafe food. Disgust is one of the six fundamental human emotions. While the emotion is universal, the foods that we find disgusting are not. What is delicious to one person can be revolting to another. Disgusting Food Museum invites visitors to explore the world of food and challenge their notions of what is and what isn’t edible. Could changing our ideas of disgust help us embrace the environmentally sustainable foods of the future?"

The exhibit will be at the A + D Architecture and Design Museum from December 9 - February 17.
