Trump Won't Rule Out a Pardon for Manafort

As he prepares to be sentenced by a judge for various crimes brought forth by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, former Donald Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort may have a hail Mary...

A potential pardon President Trump.

During an interview with the New York Post, Trump said of a pardon for Manafort:

“It was never discussed, but I wouldn’t take it off the table. Why would I take it off the table?”

Trump also used the interview to continue battering the Special Counsel in the press.

"I’m telling you, this is McCarthyism. We are in the McCarthy era. This is no better than McCarthy. And that was a bad situation for the country. But this is where we are. And it’s a terrible thing.”
