The gunman behind this week's deadly massacre in Thousand Oaks, California posted to Instagram twice during the shooting.

Shooter Ian David Long made two chilling posts during the massacre, first posting that "I had no reason to do it, and i just thought, **** it, life is boring so why not?"

In his second post, he said "I hope people call me insane" and mocked the habit of sending 'thoughts and prayers' and said "wonder why these keep happening."

Long, a former Marine who may have suffered from PTSD, was killed during the shooting.
