Florida Yoga Studio Shooter's YouTube Channel Filled With Misogynist Rants

The man who opened fire at a yoga studio in Florida, killing two women, and injuring four others before taking his own life, recorded numerous videos dating back to 2014 filled with racist and misogynist rants for his YouTube channel, according to Buzzfeed News

Police say that on Friday night (November 2), Scott Paul Beierle walked into Hot Yoga Tallahassee and pretended to be a customer before he started shooting. 21-year-old Maura Binkley and 61-year-old Dr. Nancy Van Vessem were killed, four people suffered gunshot wounds and a fifth person was pistol-whipped during the attack. When police arrived, they found the shooter dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

One of the witnesses said the man who got pistol-whipped likely saved people's lives by running toward the shooter.

“Many people are alive because this guy rushed the shooter,” Kristin Jacobs told the Tallahassee Democrat. "I am alive because one guy in a yoga class in his bare feet ran at a shooter. He didn’t run away."

Police have not said if the shooter targeted either of the victims or if it was related to the inflammatory statements he made on YouTube. He has two previous arrests for groping women, one in 2012 and another in 2016.
