Woman Seeks Emergency Dentists' Help After Super-Gluing Fake Fangs To Teeth

A woman in Alabama is swearing that she will never wear fake fangs again, after she made the mistake of super-gluing them to her real teeth for a Halloween costume.

When Anna Tew of Mobile, Alabama tried to take off her costume one night, she realized that the fake fangs were not coming off as easily as they should have.

(Quick Public Service Announcement for anyone who might be confused: Do NOT super glue fake teeth onto your real teeth! It will not end well.)

“It went on and on, and I was trying to get them out, and after it was over with, I tried until it was like 2 o'clock this morning," Tew said. "They wouldn't budge. I even took a pair of wire clippers and cut the tips off of those."

Tew said that once she noticed how painful it had become, she knew she had to seek a professional dentists' help to get them off. So she found an emergency dentist nearby, and desperately asked for his advice.

“He talked about drilling,” she said. “They had a saw, talked about taking them off in sections, and they couldn't numb it because they were scared they would actually pull my teeth out. So he went in and picked and pulled and I squealed like a baby and they got them out."

Thankfully for Tew, the dentist was finally able to remove the fake fangs from her teeth. He also told her that temporary glue can sometimes become permanent in the mouth... Make sure you keep that in mind tonight if you happen to be using fake teeth for a costume.
