A 12-year-old girl was killed on Saturday afternoon while chasing after her dog on Route 60 in Virginia.
Jennarea Goodbar was training her dog Cash outside of their house when the family said the dog took off running. Jennarea ran after Cash, but a nearby driver was unable to stop in time, hitting both the girl and dog. Both were killed in the crash.
Jennarea's mother said on Monday that her daughter and their dog Cash will be buried together.
“On day of service [Cash] will be placed in there with [Jennarae] and be buried together,” Donna Jean Stuples said. “She bought her with her own cash. It was her baby.”
Rockbridge County Police said they are still investigating the accident.
“She will always be remembered as a sweet, energetic, dog loving, hunting loving little girl,” the GoFundMe page reads. “A little girl who touched the lives of many.”
The funeral is set for Saturday afternoon in Lexington, Virginia.
