In a recent Washington Post op-ed, Caitlyn Jenner, one time Olympic athlete and now transgender activist, says that she was wrong about President Trump's dedication to the LGBTQ community.
"Trump was the first Republican presidential candidate to claim to support this valuable, vulnerable community, and I was encouraged by the applause he received when he said...he would stand up for the LGBTQ community," Jenner wrote.
Jenner has been a republican all her life and even received criticism for backing Trump during his presidential campaign.
Now her tune about Trump has changed. "
Believing that I could work with Trump and his administration to support our community was a mistake," she continued in her column.
Jenner said she is committed to the LGBTQ community and will "listen more" in order to properly support it.
