LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $3.877, the fourth consecutive increase of two-tenths of a cent or less.
The average price is two-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. However, it is 18.6 cents more than one month ago and 82.1 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 72.7 cents since the start of the year.
The average price has risen six-tenths of a cent over the past four days following four consecutive decreases totaling 1.1 cents.
The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent today to $3.822, one day after remaining unchanged. It is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 18 cents more than one month ago and 80.1 cents higher than one year ago. The Orange County average price has risen 70.6 cents since the start of the year.
