Boy In Tuscon Celebrates 6th Birthday Alone After No One Shows Up For Party

A mom in Arizona took a picture of her son at his 6th birthday party last week, but it seemed like something was missing...

Turns out 32 people were missing, to be exact.

Mother of 6-year-old Teddy, Sil Mazzini, said she sent out 32 invitations to her sons classmates for his birthday party at Pete Piper Pizza in Tuscon. Come Sunday afternoon, she said that NO ONE showed up. (Did they know there would be free pizza? We can't help but think that mentioning that might have helped...)

“I’m done with parties for a while,” Mazzini told KNXV.

But once Mazzini shared the photo of her son with the local news stations, the story quickly gained national attention. Thousands of people chimed in on social media to wish Teddy a happy 6th birthday, but the Phoenix Suns surprised everyone when they tweeted Teddy, inviting him to a upcoming game.

“How about we celebrate with thousands at our place!” the team tweeted.

The Phoenix Rising, Phoenix's professional soccer club, also invited Teddy to "join 7,000 of his closest friends" at a playoff game. Turns out Teddy will have a much bigger birthday party than originally planned!
