Lack Of Diaper Changing Tables In Men's Restrooms Inspires #SquatForChange

Donte Palmer, a father of three living in Florida, posted a simple picture on his social media last month to bring awareness to an issue he felt strongly about: the lack of changing tables in men's restrooms. What he didn't know, was that thousands of fathers felt the same way.

Palmer posted the picture that his 12-year-old son recently captured, but he said that this squatted-diaper-changing technique is nothing new to him.

He calls it the "perfect man squat" - a level-footed squat on the floor of a restroom, with his child across his lap, ready for a diaper change. All because of a lack of changing tables provided in the men's restrooms...

Since posting the picture on Instagram and Facebook, Palmer has seen thousands reach out and show their support to the cause, #SquatForChange.

“This is a serious post!!! What’s the deal with not having changing tables in men’s bathroom as if we don’t exist!!" his caption wrote.

Palmer said he hopes this will inspire more businesses to install diaper changing tables in men's bathrooms.

“We don’t want to have to get in the man squat to change diapers the rest of our lives," Palmer said.
