Search Continues In North Carolina For Missing 6-Year-Old With Autism

The FBI is currently searching for a 6-year-old that went missing from a park in North Carolina this weekend.

Maddox Ritch is the missing child, and according to his parents he has autism and does not talk. He went missing from the Rankin Lake Park in Gastonia on Saturday.

"Maddox is my whole world and my reason for living," his mother, Carrie Ritch, said. "If you were at the park Saturday and saw Maddox ... please, urgently, please call the tip line," she said, crying. "I want my baby back in my arms."

The family announced at a press conference on Tuesday that they are offering a $10,000 reward to bring Maddox home safely. The 6-year-old has blond hair and blue eyes, and according to police he was wearing black shorts and an orange T-shirt that read "I am the Man".

The FBI and local authorities have also recorded the voices of Maddox's parents, and they are playing them in the woods in hopes that Maddox will hear his mother and father and come out if he's lost.

Anyone with information, or anyone who was at Rankin Lake Park on Saturday, is urged to call the tip line at 704-869-1075. Read the full report on ABC7.
