Tom Arnold and Mark Burnett Clash at Pre-Emmy Party

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Actor Tom Arnold filed a police report today alleging that he was the victim of a battery by producer Mark Burnett at a pre- Emmy Awards charity event in Century City.

The police report was made Monday morning at the Los Angeles Police Department's West Los Angeles Station, according to the LAPD, which said no arrest had been made.

The altercation reportedly occurred Sunday night at a fundraiser for the Motion Picture Television Fund at the Lawn at Century Park, and concerned Arnold's ongoing attempts to locate allegedly damaging tapes of President Donald Trump from Trump's years on the NBC reality show “The Apprentice,” which Burnett produced.

Arnold tweeted that Burnett choked him Sunday night at “this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I'm waiting for LAPD.”

Burnett's wife, actress Roma Downey, tweeted a photo showing a bruise on a hand.

“Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. Is your TV show worth it Tom? Please stop,” Downey tweeted.

Arnold replied: “You lie your crazy husband attacked me you psyco. I'm filing police report & suing you for defamation.”

Downey was referring to Arnold's new show, “The Hunt For The Trump Tapes,” which premiers Tuesday on Viceland.

A promo on twitter teases: “Here's Who Tom Arnold Is Bothering,” and Mark Burnett is included on that list.

Arnold spoke with reporters outside the LAPD's West LA Station after he filed the police report.

“I was coming up the stairs ... and I see him at the top of the stairs, and (I was) like, `Oh, there's Mark Burnett, there's a weird coincidence, because, you know, he's Donald Trump's best friend, and I've been trying to get him to release these outtakes that show what's really going on in the White House ... to help the country,” Arnold said.

Arnold said Burnett then grabbed him by the throat.
