LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $3.671, one day after dropping one-tenth of a cent.
The average price is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 4.8 cents higher than one month ago and 48.1 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 52.1 cents since the start of the year because of higher oil prices.
The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $3.615, one day after being unchanged. It is eight-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 5.6 cents higher than one month ago and 44.7 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 49.4 cents since the start of the year.
“The worries about adequate supply of local summer-blend gasoline appear to be over, with news from the California Energy Commission that Southern California gasoline inventory is now higher,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
