Melissa Thompson is in the middle of a lawsuit with Harvey Weinstein, accusing him of raping her back in 2011... But just yesterday, she released a new video (as well as an exclusive interview,) showing exactly what happened during their meeting, just a few hours before the alleged assault.
Thompson had secretly recorded video from her meeting with Weinstein in 2011 on her laptop as she showed him a presentation.
Yesterday, Sky News released part of the video as well as an exclusive interview with the businesswoman. (Watch it here.)
The meeting was Thompson's opportunity to sell the services of her tech startup company to the movie mogul, but the video shows that Weinstein might have had other plans...
"Data's so hot," Thompson says in the video.
"It is hot," Weinstein says. "You're hot."
Weinstein is later heard asking Thompson to meet him for a drink at a hotel near the offices later that night. That's when Thompson says he raped her.
"This is a further attempt to publicly disgrace Mr. Weinstein for financial gain, and we will not stand for it," his attorney, Benjamin Brafman said.
Weinstein is expected to be back in court later this month.
